Senior Squad
  • Eric Garnham

Eric Garnham - First Team Manager

Eric has certainly had an impact on the playing staff at the Town in his short spell in charge. One of his biggest successes has been to use his man management skills to convince Ginner that training is the best policy. When I say man management skills it might be the 20 fags they share during the warm up! All we need now is the Raffa beard and we are in business!

  • Steve Gilleard

Steve Gilleard - First Team Assistant Manager

Towns 'Playboy of the year' has taken his first steps into management this season by assisting Eric with the First team. 'Juck' as he is affectionately known has built a career on being vocal during games (when he wasn’t banned), let's hope the responsibility will bring calm and coolness to proceedings for our very own Sven lookalike!

  • Clive Rhodes

Clive Rhodes - Second Team Manager

Clive 'Clive-alho' Rhodes is Town through and through. Cut him and he bleeds red and black. To say Clive is a 'no nonesense' stopper, is like saying that Keegan has a fondness for fried food. Clive's the name, and hoofing the opposition into the next field is the game (sometimes closely followed by the ball). Clive will be looking to pass on this knowledge to the youngsters playing for him in the reserves this year.

  • Stuart Clegg - Senior Coach

Stuart has brought a continental flavour to training with his foreign accent and creative coaching techniques. Working alongside Eric and Clive 'Cleggy' is an important figure behind the scenes as we strive for a fitter more competitive senior section.

  • Ryan Cook

    Ryan Cook - Keeper

17 year old 'Rocky' had a fine debut season in goal for the Town, picking up the Captains Player of the Year Award. Already a fine shot stopper this is an important season for Rocky as he looks to push on and distinguish himself as the long term Town Number 1.

  • Derek Block

    Derek Block - Keeper

Derek 'Brandon' Block has been Town's number 2 for a number of years now. His experience will be an important factor in what will be a youthful Reserve side this season.

  • Josh Berry - Keeper

Goalkeeper whose shot stopping and ability to close forwards down are strong points of his game. Brave and seems sure to develop even further this season. Only Oldham season-ticket holder in the squad, so destined to go far.

  • Mark Coulson

    Mark Coulson - Defender

'Coley' picked up the Managers Player of the year award last season and will once again skipper the first team. A defender with an eye for goal will be hoping the Town's defence is more secure than Leeds United's.

  • Lee Garnham

    Lee Garnham - Defender

Have It! Lee is stong in the tackle and rarely beaten in the air. The uncompramising centre back will once again be looking to form a key part to the Towns defence.

  • Dave Hardy

    Dave Hardy - Defender

'Ginner' has looked good in pre season due to his one on one smoking plan with Eric! On the fringes last year Dave will be looking to be a regular this season and is cool and calm from the spot.

  • Andy Hartley - Defender

Now holding veteran status 'Beak' or 'Rambo' as he likes to be known can play at either full back. A long serving player who faces stiff competition from brother Michael. The Neville brothers will no doubt be falling out over the dinner table more than once this season.

  • James Banks

    James Banks - Defender

Last seasons young player of the year 'Banksy' nailed down the left back spot towards the end of the season. Tough in the tackle and a sweet left foot, this is an important season for James to kick on and cement his place in the first team squad.

  • Tom Banks - Defender

A young centre back with a bright future. After a very impressive season with the 2nds Tom should be looking to challenge for the first team this season.

  • Alex Revell

    Alex Revell - Defender

Another product of the clubs junior set up, Alex had a good first season in senior football. Despite facing stiff competition from his Dad, Alex enjoyed a good run in the second team.

  • Craig Didlick

    Craig Didlick - Defender

Craig joined the club from Helperby during preseason and will add maturity to the Town's squad. Craig will be looking to impress over the coming weeks.

  • Ben Stirk

    Ben Stirk - Defender

Ben has been a great find for the second team this season having produced a number of man of the match displays. The young defender has played most of his games at right back but looks comfortable anywhere along the back line.

  • Tom Myers

    Tom Myers - Defender

Town's very own Lombardo! What Tom lacks in the hair department he certainly makes up for it in other ways. This ladys man is an outside bet for Playboy of the year!

  • Lewis Calder - Defender

  • Ian Thompson - Defender

  • Rob Wadsworth

    Rob Wadsworth - Midfielder

'Wads' is our foreign import from Leeds. A player who can play at the back or in midfield is a key member of the first team squad. Runner up in the playboy of the year award, hopefully Wadsworth will be looking to focus on playing matters this season!

  • Daz Cooper

    Daz Cooper - Midfielder

'Coops' continues to roll back the years in the centre of Towns midfield. A neat ball player and consistent performer for the Town will be looking to chip in with goals from midfield this season.

  • Gaz Raper

    Gaz Raper - Midfielder

Gaz 'Sicknote' Raper is a valuable member of the squad when he is fit. After years of niggling injuries he will be hoping to have an extended run in Eric's side this season.

  • Bobby Pearson

    Bobby Pearson - Midfielder

Bobby has proved deadly in front of goal during preseason, unfortunately two out of his three goals have gone in the wrong end! With Bobby set to go travelling in October the town will be hoping he gets homesick before long!

  • Johny Hunter

    Johny Hunter - Midfielder

Another youngster with a great deal of potential. The flying winger has forced his way into the first team squad due to his willingness to run at teams with pace. Johny could be a big asset to the team this season.

  • Joe Walker

    Joe Walker - Midfielder

It's hard to pin Joe down to a position because he can play anywhere. Another young player with pace to burn and good technique Joe has featured on the wing and up front from the subs bench recently and is looking to nail down a regular starting position.

  • Mathew Clegg

    Mathew Clegg - Midfielder

Mathew had a good debut season with the seniors and at times has had to carry the burden of being the clubs interpreter. He is the only player who can understand his dad's accent!

  • Micky Raper - Midfielder

No one can doubt Micky Raps work rate and effort, if only his brain worked as fast as his legs! Towns very own size 0 is a shining example to all for sticking to a strict footballing diet.

  • Danny Copeland

    Danny Copeland - Midfielder

Another of Town's veterans! Despite his advancing years Dan has proved he still knows where the goal is and his long throw is a big advantage in the attacking third.

  • Ross Hardy

    Ross Hardy - Midfielder

Ross adds experience to a young second team. Equally comfortable at the back or in midfield, Ross is a fine passer of the ball.

  • Rich Henley

    Rich Henley - Midfielder

Rich is another major pluss for the Reserves this year. In his debut season he has claimed a regular starting place on the wing and looks good prospect for the future.

  • Alex Ross

    Alex Ross - Midfielder

Alex has made a big impact on the first team since he joined the club. This soft southerner is a technically gifted player who can play upfront or in midfield and has already staked a claim for goal of the season at Pocklington.

  • Tony Raper - Midfielder

'Tosh' loves a tackle! After a couple of years away from the game Tony is trying to play his way back into the second team side.

  • Billy Gregory - Midfielder

Billy has been desperate to play for the seniors for the past few years and he has finally reached 16! Another young player who needs to work hard to nail down a regular starting place.

  • Paul Elerker - Midfielder

  • Simon Webster - Midfielder

  • Luke Baudouin

    Luke Baudouin - Striker

Overseas signing with a sweet left foot. There is no doubt that Luke has potential to be a fine player for the Town under the guidance of Uncle Eric.

  • Andrew Metcalfe (Jnr) - Striker

'Metty' loves the bling bling. With pace to burn and a decent striker of the ball, Metty should be hitting double figures comfortably this season in front of goal, if we can keep him out of 'The York' on matchdays.

  • Paul Floyd

    Paul Floyd - Striker

Like Johno, Floydy has rejoined the club from Stillington this season after being released by our neighbours. Town's former keeper will be looking to lead the scoring charts this season after finding the net during preseason.

  • Andrew Metclafe (Snr) - Striker

Met-Tec was a regular scorer for the 2nd's last year and featured for the first team towards the end of the season. No doubt he will be looking to fight off the challenge from the new signings from Stilly.

  • Mike Smith - Striker

Power and pace, well power at least! 'Wiff' will still be playing for years to come as he tries to reach 150 goals for the club!
