On 23/3/2013 Tom Platt became the first former club junior to play professional football in the Football League when he came on as a 45th minute substitute in York City’s 2-1 defeat away at Torquay. Tom had three seasons with us from U8 through to U10’s before joining York City.

mike-whitwell

Former Junior Mike Whitwell had four years at Bull Hill before going on to play for Leeds United Reserves. Mike featured for the first team during a preseason game against York City where he also got his name on the scoresheet. Mike was in Leeds United’s Academy for nine years before being released at the end of the 2009/10 season when a second year apprentice. Mike has recently been playing semi professional football.

mark_mierzwinski

Mark Mierzwinski had a season at Bull Hill as an U13 amongst other local clubs before joining Nottingham Forest’s Academy. Mark was an apprentice at Halifax Town and had a spell at Doncaster Rovers. It was at Halifax where he came closest to making the break through. As a first year professional Mark was a member of the reserve team squad before injury hampered his career. Mark returned to Bull Hill to play and manage the First Team briefly.
